Working around a business that is still open
Commercial work gets sequenced around a business's own hours more than a homeowner's calendar. Noisy or disruptive phases, demolition, ceiling grid work, floor prep, often make more sense scheduled for nights or a slow day than in the middle of business hours, so customers and staff are not working around a construction zone.
Materials get staged and moved in phases, dust gets contained section by section, and one area is closed and finished before the next one opens up, so a store, an office or a storefront never has to sit fully shut down for the length of the job.

Finished commercial work includes a full buildout for a fire station and a full storefront buildout for a powersports dealership, from framing and finish work through to a completed, branded space ready for customers. Two very different buildings with two very different uses, built out under the same crew and the same licence.
A dealership floor also has to work for foot traffic and product display the day it opens, not just pass an inspection, which is part of why buildout work like this gets planned as a finished space from the start rather than framed first and figured out later.

Drop ceilings, carpet and paint on a turnover schedule
Drop ceilings, carpet and paint are usually the three trades a commercial space needs together, and they usually need to happen in the vacancy window between one tenant leaving and the next one moving in. The shorter that window is, the more those three jobs run back to back instead of one at a time.
Sequencing still matters on a tight schedule. Paint goes on before new carpet so a roller or a ladder never marks a finished floor, and a drop ceiling grid gets set before final paint touch-ups so dust from above does not land on a wall that is already done.
