Shingle, metal and flat

A roof estimate is a guess from the ground. Tear-off is where the guessing stops.

Shingle roofs, metal roofs, flat roofs, and commercial roofing repairs, quoted free and backed by a one year warranty.

Chapter 01

Tear-off is when you find out what the estimate could not see

Every roof estimate starts with what can be seen from a ladder or the ground: the shingle condition, the flashing, the slope, the obvious soft spots. What it cannot show you is what is underneath, and that only comes up once the old layer is off the deck.

That is the moment we find rotted decking, an old repair that was never done right, or a layer of shingles somebody left under the last one instead of stripping it. When that happens, you hear about it that same day, with a real number, before anything new goes back down. Nothing gets buried under a new roof to become somebody's problem later.

Shingle, metal or flat: choosing for Gulf Coast heat, wind and hail

The three roof types we install and repair each answer a different part of what Gulf Coast weather does to a house. Shingle is the standard for most homes, straightforward to repair section by section and available in impact rated options for hail. Metal sheds heat better through a Houston summer and holds up to wind uplift, which is why it shows up more often on additions, porches, and homes that get the full afternoon sun.

Flat roofing covers the rest, additions, porch roofs, and the commercial roofing repairs we take on for buildouts and storefronts, where drainage and a sound membrane matter more than shingle style. We repair and replace all three, and the right pick usually comes down to what is already on the house and what the slope and sun exposure are doing to it.

Chapter 03

What the yard looks like when we leave, sweep, debris, and the sign comes down

Tear-off throws nails, staples, and old shingle grit into the grass around the house, so before we load out we run a magnet sweep of the yard and driveway, on top of tarping the beds and walkways during the work itself.

Debris goes into the trailer, not left staged on the lawn overnight. Our yard sign, the one with the office number on it, goes up when we start and comes down when the job is actually finished, checked, and closed out, not before. If you see it still standing, the roof is not done yet.
